Regulations Favor the Incumbents and are a Barrier to Disruptive Innovation.
Updated: 6 days ago
Dear Colleagues:
Enclosed is a YouTube talk by famed venture capitalist, Bill Gurley. He talks about Telecom industry and regulations that resulted in major barriers to disruptive innovation that would have greatly benefited consumers. So why should you care about the Telecom industry? The reason is that the same forces at work in Telecom regulations are also at work in the Healthcare Industry. The late Harvard Business School Professor, Clayton Christensen, talked about this in his book, “The Innovator’s Prescription.” I’ll expand on Christensen’s perspective on healthcare in a future post. I hope you find this interesting. Let us know what you think either on our LinkedIn channel or our WhatsApp group.
Happy Holidays,
