The First American Shoulder and Elbow Society (ASES) Virtual Reality (VR) Webinar
Dear Colleagues:
I am pleased to share with you a link to the first ASES Webinar on Immersive VR. I am privileged to be the first VR Visiting Professor, and this webinar includes an overview presentation on the power of VR and a video of our live virtual surgery in the Metaverse. I was joined by surgeons from around the USA in a virtual operating room so that we might share an arthroscopic shoulder surgery together. I am sure you’ll agree with me that this represents a major disruption of professional education, which will create enormous value in terms of easy access to immersive VR education on demand. Imagine a future where we have an App store for VR surgery for a huge number of Orthopedic procedures. All we would need to do is download the app and use our headset to practice whichever surgery we want to do in our virtual operating room. Now add the possibility of an expert joining and teaching you in the Metaverse without the need to travel in order to be in the same lab.
Here is the link to the webinar from October 8th now available for public viewing on both YouTube and the ASES website. Feel free to check it out and share the links with anyone who could benefit.
Kind Regards,
