The Wisdom of Rick Matsen, MD

Dear Colleagues:
Some of you may not know Rick Matsen, but over the past half-century, he has been one of the most influential and thoughtful architects of the best approach for treating patients with shoulder problems. His journey began with the teaching and inspiration of Dr. Charles Neer in 1975, and he has trained many “shoulder experts” over his career.
Perhaps some of you are unaware of his LinkedIn Blog, which critically reviews many of our current concepts of shoulder care. Thus, I wanted to make you aware of this extremely valuable resource. There are over 3500 posts on his blog, and each one is made with his own perspective and wisdom. Frankly, his blogs are as close as possible to the case-based discussion method in medicine. I consider this to be the best indications conference you can ever have.
Please see how to access his blog below:
Go to this link: http://shoulderarthritis.blogspot.com
Then enter your email into the subscribe box
From there, the website will prompt you to make an account and bring you to the main website. Click on "My Feed," and all of Rick's blogs will be there.
The search function can lead readers to, for example, over 20 posts on acromial fractures and much more.
Kind Regards,
